A Tale Told by an Idiot
[mood |nostalgicnostalgic]

Dear the internet,

Between April and June 2012, the Shakespeare's Globe theatre ran a particularly splendid festival where companies from around the world were invited to perform Shakespeare plays in their native language and in whatever style they chose. I saw 16 of these productions live, and it was a flipping excellent experience. Then came the news that these productions were going to be made available online for people to watch later. Woo! You can find all of these videos here, complete with subtitles.

However, there is always a snag, and that snag is that this website will be taking down these videos at the end of the month. If you want to watch them with subtitles, you must do so within the next ten days or miss out possibly forever.

If you don't have time within the next ten days to watch a ton of Shakespeare, and you don't really care whether you have subtitles or no, click for more...Collapse )

(I find it very wacky that I only have one Globe-related userpic. Also, if anyone has a hotline to someone who grants wishes, I am SO in need of the Frow The Taming of the Shrew on DVD that it simply IS NOT FUNNY.)
